Benefit they're real dupe?

Hello!
Today I'm reviewing a mascara that could be a possible drugstore/high street
dupe for the benefit they're real mascara.
If you want to know the pro's & con's, want to see it in action
or just want to know which mascara is then keep reading!
The mascara that I'm comparing in this post is the Collection 'does it all'
mascara in the waterproof formula.

As you can see from the photo above, the two brushes are quite similar, the benefit one is
on the top and is slightly more bristle-y but the collection mascara has a very similar looking
brush.

The collection mascara built length to my lashes, not so much volume so it's great
for an every day mascara or even a base mascara before you apply
a volumising mascara for a dramatic effect.
My only real peeve with this mascara is that it's quite dry, I'm still not sure if it
is the waterproof formula or if I picked up one that someone had opened as it was a
dry formula when I bought it.
This made it less convenient to use compared to the benefit mascara as that's a
very wet formula that clings to the lashes.

The brush is hard and bristley so it's great for getting really close to the roots of
your lashes, the end of the brush also has the 'spiky ball' effect which is great for your
inner and outer corner lashes that are normally hard to get.
The brush was very easy to use and not overly sized.

I'd say this mascara gave my lashes quite a dramatic look for a day time
mascara.
As the formula is so dry, it was hard to build up but with the two thin
coats that I applied I got a nice full lash effect.
This mascara doesn't have an odd or overly perfumed scent which is always nice,
I don't like putting heavily scented products around my eyes.

This did last all day on me, some mascaras do crumble on the ends of my lashes towards
the end of the day but this did last, however it still did transfer despite being waterproof
which is the thing that the benefit mascara doesn't do.
I can get super long eyelashes and no transfer using the benefit 'they're real'
But this was very slightly less dramatic and did transfer, apart from that there isn't
too much difference between the two.
£4.99 - original formula - link
£4.99 - waterproof formula - link
(both currently on offer for £3.99)

The benefit mascara is still my favourite and the best one that I've ever used,
(I've used A LOT of mascaras!)
But the price tag is steep and it does dry up quite quickly,
so for special occasions that I don't want panda eyes after a couple of hours
then I'll be using the benefit mascara simply as it doesn't transfer otherwise
 I'll stick to this dupe!
(please note, 99% of mascaras smudge on me! it may not smudge on you)
It gives near the same effect of the benefit mascara for a quarter of the price.
I wouldn't buy this for its
waterproofing properties but certainly as a great everyday mascara.

I give this mascara a  4 / 5
I'd like the formula to be a little wetter and for it to be really waterproof/
transfer proof, it isn't dramatic smudging but if I choose waterproof mascara
then I want it to not budge, apart from that I can't fault it.
I will be re-purchasing this mascara.
